I saw on Monsterquest here in the USA on the History Channel there was a creature the indians in the pacific northwest referred to as Moglis. Mogis was apparently not an actual being, but a "boogie man" that ate little children who ran off into the forest without adult supervision when they were told not to. I'm sure this protected many a young boy and girl from the various things that can happen when you wonder off by yourself into the wilderness when Mom said not to do so. People still use variations of the same thing with their kids today, right? So it makes perfect sense.

Some people tried to say the Bigfoot mystery was solved when hoaxer Ray Wallace died. He couldn't be behind all of the eyewitness accounts, not even remotely behind them.
