In any case, I see no negative or evil (bad luck) in this bird, as the woodpecker is known as a mystical and magical bird in many cultures and mythologies.
I am feeling that the woodpecker suggests that you should trust more your basic, intuitive and instictive abilities. You should tear down your own barriers, got more creative and develop intensely your gut feelings.
Do not neglect that part of you.

That's interesting! I never knew there was so much mythology around this bird.
