I would like to join a local paranormal group ... I will start looking around.. The fear I have is what I have seen on TV , bringing someone/something home with me.
Really makes me worry at the thought .

Take the time to find or write a protection prayer for yourself Chelles, it doesnt have to be religious most importantly it refers to you and your home and family directly. Use it as a mantra and make it something you believe in fully.

Mine is a prayer to the white light and good in the universe, I ask it to bless each of the four corners of our property and on each side of the two gates, letting nothing evil and mischievious enter. I also use it onsite when investigating, asking whoever may be there to stay there and not accompany us home. All of us in our group thank anything that may be present for letting us be there and leave unmolested and so far none of us have any issues.

Another thing to understand about being in a group is that its not 's*its and giggles' - ghost hunting on tv is SO edited its not funny. We may spend up to ten hours on investigation but then we may have up to 100 hours of video analysis to do - which is repeditive and brain draining - but unless the job is done properly it may as well not be done at all.

Having said that, you find the right group of people and its a fantastic hobby. Fun, entertaining, educational - just meeting all the people we have met is wonderful.

A road trip sounds fun - we just tried to have one two weeks ago, supposed to be two weeks in the south island in a campervan - ended up being 6 days and a rushed trip home from the southern most point we went to lol Oh well - it was good while it lasted!

Ralphs father has started his radiotherapy - they have said he is reacting well, the prognosis has gone from maybe a month to maybe a few months. So another Xmas with him at least.

I am doing well hun, I have now lost 71 kg (156 lbs) - and feel better and look better than I have for years :)

What is your secret to losing that much? I don't have a weight problem, it grows bigger every day :D

Hun I opted out of the trying hard ways - I have been trying all my life to lose and maintain my weight. I had surgery on the 22nd of February, a procedure called a Fobi Pouch. It cost $22,000 NZd but is well worth the extension its giving to my life. I was over 390lbs when I had the operation. I should put up some before and current pics lol

The online site for the mag doesnt feature the story, so I will have to try to figure out how to scan on my printer and post it in here. Will try in the next few days :)
