What do you think the difference is between being a spiritual person and being a religious person?

It in my opinion is all in what or how you believe. Your inner self is spiritual if you are religious or not.
This is why it is called your " inner spirit " . It can be dark/light . But the Holy Spirit is a personal and
religious belief .. MMM now I got myself confused : )

Your opinions welcome !!

Man - do you like sticking your neck out hun? Dont you know you should never talk about religion online? lol :P

Organised religion? - BLAH! Holy Spirit? - Sorry I just cant buy there being one omipotent being.

Being spiritualist is a little more up my alley - but I still tend to pick and choose what aspects I personally take from this set of beliefs.

Basically I aim at being a good person, and believeing in myself.

I agree AS , this is along the lines of what I was trying to say. We all practice differently and this is not good nor bad , just
different !! If we had more Good People in the world .. religious or not , the world would be a better place !

Analogy: Spirituality is to religion what health is to practicing medicine.

I wouldn't call it genius, as there is a whole mess of arguements to be had about good religion and bad religion, just like there good doctors and bad doctors, and who is to make the determinations? Seems like an opportune discussion for anyone following the Michael Jackson saga. There you have a cultural icon, which is like a post-modern religious figure in terms of celebrity status and such, even including the same kinds of sexual abuse scandals that the Catholic religion is rather plagued with. Then, when he dies, his doctor is put on trial, the question is he a good doctor for providing the services Michael Jackson wanted, or is he a bad doctor for killing him?

Sounds like Dr. Murray has know MJ for 15 years. I do think it was reckless of him to use that drug outside of the hospital - no amount of money from Michael Jackson should have been enough to give it to him - as we can see why . You have to sign your life away before you go under , just in case. I hope it is just crap that The Dr. did not know how to perform CPR.
