Thanks to Caesar for inviting us here smile.gif ....

Greetings all :)..

I'm going to jump in without protracted preamble and issue the simple statement that I am a sensitive, I am well aware of the mechanics of pariodelia, matrixing apophenia and pixelation ...
my methodology is simple ... as a sensitive I attempt to match visually what sense at the sites that I cover in Chicago land ...several are well known such as Bachelor's Grove, Resurrection (Mary) Cemetery's, Queen of Heaven ( an apparition site formally investigated by the Chicago Archdiocese in the mid 90's) and several others...
I do like replies but urge you to be a little patient with me as I am somewhat eccentric, but please don't dismiss my photos at cursory glance as there always ends up being a few from each site that are of interest...

peace

Welcome to PTU, Barek! just remember to be respectfull to those that don't see or agree with your analysis of an image. I was a mod at Ghoststudy for about 4 years and have seen some really harsh fight come out of them.

I would love to see some images of the many haunted places in Chicago, even if it not paranormal.

Welcome to the forum as well, Barek Halfhand. I hope you enjoy it here as well....and well, sorry I know it is a matter of my personal taste, I enjoy this avatar you use now much more than the one you had yesterday. This one is more attractive to me :-)

It is so silly, perhaps I should tell that before I joined here I was thinking about joining the forum you came from....This had a reason. When I bought a book from a young (paranormal) German author, I found this as a foreword "Danksagung -
Herzlichst möchte ich mich bei Klaus Dona bedanken, der es mir gestattete, einige beeindruckende Exponate seiner Ausstellung Unsolved Mysteries (www.unsolved-mysteries.net) hier zu verwenden....etc. (which means simply thanks to Klaus Dona who allowed me to use some of his impressive exponents of his exhibition Unsolved Mysteries in this book). So, I ever dreamed of having a look at this forum.

When I had the chance to change I studied your forum. I could not find a single thread about people being otherkin. That is why I shied back because I was once at a paranormal forum that banned me for what I am ("My clients cannot be seeing stuff on vampires" citation end). Well, I found a little thread about the topic here and I felt respected and welcome.

That the little history that connects my thoughts to your forum. By the way, that German author calls himself (it is his author name....I never cared for his real one) Jan van Helsing (he has nothing to do with hunting vampires *lol*) and the above excerpt stems from his first book "Hände weg von diesem Buch" (hands away from this book). It serves a good read.

And P.S. to Barek: I enjoy your pictures from the cemetaries. I really enjoy visiting and seeing old and ancient cemetaries. Unfortunately, I have never know if I would be allowed to post my cemetary-pics in this forum, because I do not know if there will be ghostly activity or not....it is simply some kind of nostalgy.

I really would like to post my recent pics I have made in Hungary from the cemetaries in Budapest and Esztergom....somewhere here. I really enjoyed investing a whole day at those localities.

Wabun Wind

P.S.: Sorry for slightly deviating the original topic.....*innocent look*

My own is a free spirit. No-one and nothing can put it behind bars, walls or in chains. It will force its way, breaking the limitations, but will be also present with kindness and wisdom :)

Consider it a promise C smile.gif ....

I know what you mean, and my track record has generally dictated no animosity in response to polite skepticism.
of course my tendency to "push the envelope" has earned me a bit of a reputation in this community, I think we all tend to exaggerate our personality attributes into a composite "super ego" as the internet permits a degree of uninhibited and incognito expression, and being one that has had to bite my lip in the business world for so many years; the allure of
comparably consequence free expression can admittedly be hard to regulate ...
of course we all have our "off days" but I have found that negativity is simply not conducive to spiritual development
and as my spiritual beliefs have never been influenced by my photos I have never really been on a crusade to convince anyone of anything...yet my love of verbal jousting is at times misconstrued as defensive overreaction when skepticism is offered as objective commentary but I shall endeavor to reign that in to avoid any conflict thumbsup.gif

thanks for the welcome

OK thanks for understanding, its just that some people get so emotionally attacked to their work and they tend to feel a personal attack when someone doesn't see or agree with it. I've seen it happen so many times.

I hope you like it here.

My forum? ...I have been a member of several but if it is Unexplained Mysteries you are referring to that place is owned by a little Scottish fellow that goes by the handle "Saruman" ...he has a certain predilection for selective reading, member favoritism and ambiguous policies concerning enforcing forum rules ...

all of the sites I post photos of have a documented history of (reported) paranormal activity but there is an off topic section here somewhere isn't there? ...start there and perhaps some of us that are adept at photo analysis may deem them indicative of paranormal activity ...
I personally rely on my sensitivities more than I do EXIF data ands will never bore anyone with such inanities ...

I think that these kind of people can be found everywhere, in every forum, nobody is perfect and we are all different from each other. That is what makes us interesting and unique and makes the world ticking.

Well, I enjoyed your pics anyway. Very nice cemetary is that in Chicago. I have been sometimes to Chicago area, in Bloomington which is not so far from O'Hare....but never visited the cemetary in Chicago, only used the airport. Well, you are right. I myself cannot imagine a life without intuition and energy and I agree with you that this might be one of best indicators to find, contact or prove something.

hello and thanks,
I have elected to go ahead and arrow the items of interest that I spot in the photos as a courtesy to those that may not want to devote the time to scanning for something that I believe is notable albeit the contention that this practice implies deception for some ambiguous reason...

please do continue to keep up with my threads as even though I make no grandiose declarations of "paranormality" I have a pretty good track record for interesting photos I have been told.

Thats for sure. I understand putting the arrows. so many times I'm looking at images the people post and I'm like, man I just don't see it, until someone puts a circle or an arrow around it.

This is the part of the screening process that I have elected to share in a candid fashion that unfortunately has made for some controversy in the past but I suppose as some contend that pointing something out should disqualify it as as potential anomalous capture...but I have fervently maintained my current photo submission platform featuring the stages of cropped blowups to repel the pixelation argument but I suppose this being one of the most controversial subjects to discuss especially in this environment where anonymity encourages acrimony ...

but overall lately this has subsided as I have shifted my focus from the debate ( most of the time lol) to research and evidence analysis etc.....

Hey there, barek. since your really good with taking pictures why not start a post on some things that seem paranormal but are not, like slow shutter speeds and things like that.

This is why he is the Boss - that sounds like a great idea Barek , trust me , I need to not be so gullible and
" know the difference " or be able to make an educated guess .
