Regan MacNeil: What an excellent day for an exorcism.
Father Damien Karras: You would like that?
Regan MacNeil: Intensely.
Father Damien Karras: But wouldn't that drive you out of Regan?
Regan MacNeil: It would bring us together.
Father Damien Karras: You and Regan?
Regan MacNeil: You and us.

We had some discussion of this down here a year or two ago, after a particularly gruesome murder in my local town of an 8 year old girl and her mother (the father was arrested).
It was incredibly well publicised (I grew up in the same small village with the murder victim, her niece was my friend) and there was much interest in buying their house when it finally went on the market.
I think it came out that legally the seller must inform the buyer of such things here too, so not to impose on their personal or religious beliefs.
I dont think I would want to purchase a haunted venue for anything lol

My team just did an investigation a few weeks ago at the scene of a crime. A police officer was shot several times while on duty behind this house. He didn't pass away until later at the hospital but the homeowners have experienced several "unexplained" things over the last few years. It was very interesting...and very sad.

"While I agree with the Supreme Court that the real estate broker, as agent for the seller, is under no duty to disclose to a potential buyer the phantasmal reputation of the premises and that, in his pursuit of a legal remedy for fraudulent misrepresentation against the seller, plaintiff hasn't a ghost of a chance, I am nevertheless moved by the spirit of equity to allow the buyer to seek rescission of the contract of sale and recovery of his down payment."
