To tell you the truth, I dont know if I would be able to honestly tell the difference between an OOB or a dream......I would probably think I was just dreaming lol

I very often had/have and already accepted it as a part of mine. Seems that I am a traveller between here and the astral plane and I enjoy meeting other beings/people.

I have had one...I dont know what kind tho. I dont know if I died or was dieing and started to come out or if it was an OOB. See I had Sleep Apnea and I quit breathing in my sleep often. This night I didnt have my machine hooked up to me. I remember feeling like I was awake..I was aware of coming out of my body just above my body only inches..and hovered there. It was the most wonderful feeling I have ever felt. No mere words could express the feeling correctly. I felt so free..I felt such peace ... felt the weight of my body disappear and the weight of the world as well. I felt so light...lighter then a feather..a feather would of weighed a ton compared to this feeling. Then I came back down to my body and it was the worse feeling. I felt the weight of my body pressing down on me..it felt like it would smoother me and crush me..I felt so closed in..it felt like a prison. I moved my limbs and they felt like ton weights. I felt all the weight of the world again..negativity and all...it was so awful. I remember wanting to go back ..I wanted out again..didnt want to feel the things I was feeling. No body really knows how much we carry on our shoulders until something like this happens to you..and then you really find out. And how in reality ...heavy our bodies really are to us. I kinda want that to happen again..it felt like a restful blessing..like a gift..just a little time to rest my soul type thing. But then again I dont want it to happen again because when ya get back into your body you feel awful..the worst feeling and it took me a good while to shake that feeling..to get used to my body and everything else again. Now when you OOB do you feel that way too? Or did I die for a time or dieing?

It really is hard to tell whether it is a case of Sleep Paralysis or OOB.

The sleep paralysis usually is a foreform or some kind of basis to prepare a OBE. Sleep paralysis makes you unable to move but you stay in your physical body. Thus makes it the kind of preparation to go on. When you have left your physical body in what sense soever, it is already some form of OBE. Near death experience is a form of OBE as well. I just mention this because you have written something about "dying".
But in this case you were not dying. You have left your physical body, so you had definitely an OBE. It probably was some astral projection because you were just too close to your body. Yes, I agree, it is a nice feeling. It is like floating and flying without gravity :) Good to relax from everyday-stress.

Camp...THe dreaded Sleep Pro I have had for years..but it has quit since I lost alot of weight. When I had the Sleep Pro it was like a ten ton truck on me..I felt myself being weighed down a crushing sensation and felt like I was also being dragged down into the darkness...it was hard to breath..I felt like I had to concentrate and make myself breath it was so bad..and like ya said ya cant move at all...and your fully awake just your body isnt. I usually can get myself out of it with great effort and Will. But this was so much diff. Instead of feeling I was goin down and being pressed with weight..I went the other direction..up and no weight at all. It was at the time a wonderful feeling. Until ya came back into your body.

WW...yes I was real close to my body..only inches out. I couldnt see my surrounding thru my eyes tho..it was like seeing everything that was happening from my minds eye..not the physical eye and not in only one thing..like I could see everything at once. ..like infront of me behind me all sides of me..all at once...even tho I was only inches from my body I still could see the bed at my back and the sheets..but I couldnt see my body. I know that sounds strange but thats how it was . I knew my body was there but couldnt see it. Maybe because I was to close?

Also there are times when I will lay down or even when I am sitting up and relaxed I sometimes feel like I am slipping/sliding out of my body..its an uneasy feeling too..It feels like a slide from a park..that kind of slipping/sliding. I usually have my eyes closed when this happens..and when I open them..I snap back. When that happens I know if I open my eyes that I will snap back and its over...I feel safe in knowing that. There have been times when I feel like just let it go and see what will happen..but my basic human instincts of survival always over power me...and basically makes me open my eyes . It would be hard to over power it to see what would happen.

No, do not worry. That does not sound strange to me. Yes, it was some form of astral projection, when you have already left your physical body and entered the astral one which is still connected to your physical body by a silver cord. That is why you will stay were close to your body....because of that silver cord connection. You leave not the room. The farthest you go is seeing you from the room's ceiling from above. When you do not see your physical body, you have just entered your astral body. You are so close that you are standing nearly at the "threshold".

That what is happening is quite natural and can be compared with meditation. As long as you keep your eyes closed, controlled breathing, relaxed you are in meditation status and you come back when you open your eyes. Even OBE is some form of meditation status. It is provoked by a relayed condition. Well, 'human instincts of survival', that is difficult.... You already have managed 2/3 of 3/3. And what would happen to you if you go farther? You said yourself that it was a wonderful feeling you experienced the farther you were going. I practise it nearly every day in some form and can only say: It will not harm you. You can only learn more and experience things that does not only refer to this plain. You can be a wanderer between the different plains what is a great experience as well. No need to be afraid. But before you are not sure about it, it is better you pratise only projection and staying in your room, untill you get more confidence in it. I do not know exactly how to overpower your inner fear except encouraging you pratising more meditation, more OBE and accepting it as a part of you and do not treat it like something "strange". Do not be afraid of yourself wink.gif

Actually I have had OOB, so called SP, as well as After Life experiance (one cool memory for a three year old I may add). The only one that scared the %&(*#$@^% out of me was the SP. Although OOB did kind of startle me as my daughters were babies then and my husband was overseas; I wasn't too sure if I could get back in time for our girls.

I love the OOB that I have and I am flying ! I can get up so much speed , and feel the wind rushing ! Like an
Eagle !
Women are Angels...And when someone breaks our wings...We simply continue to fly....on a broomstick...We are flexible like that... lilp

Sleep paralysis is what cames to mind when some asks me if I ever had an OBE before.

In an OBE (as it says) you must definitely leave your body in some form and while you are doing it, you feel that you are doing so. Usually you will know when leaving. It is not only the common astral things but also Near death experience, forms of past life regressions etc.

Have you already experienced something else, Caesar?

nope don't think I've ever had one
People who sin say this, "that they had to, to survive." People who sin say this, "it's too late now to stop." The shadow called sin dogs them steadily from behind, silently without a word. Remorse and agony are repeated only to end up at despair in the end, but the sinners just don't know that if they'd only turn around there's a light there, a light which keeps shining on them ever so warmly. A light that will never fade.

MIne was a little of both.

I could not move my body , I was dead weight

I could see myself in my bed - I could not get " back in "

I felt the " jolt " and I was back in .

Hi,
I have never face such thing in my life.
As per your comment I don't think I am ready to feel such a felling in rest of my life.
I see the dreams many a times but not experienced such.

Well, could be sleep walking, but I rather think of something else. Do you remember your dreams, i.e. the stuff you were doing there and the localities you have visited etc.? If you do not, I would suggest you to note your dreams down, on a scrap of paper or something else. Have what you have done some meaning? Was it clear to be seen? Was there a reason? And the most important: Have you compared your activities with your own future time? Have they come true?

If everything fits, it is rather precognition or prediction.
