Is it possible for those who have passed from this mortal coil to make contact from the spirit world through electronic media? Can a loved one make contact through the humble telephone to say one last good-bye or even give warning of impending disaster?

my mother called my twin nieces only days apart.their b-day is nov 26.the phone number that called them was my moms number when she was alive.the number is not in use now.when my niece answered the phone she said hello,then my niece said i love you grandma.do u think my mother heard her say i love you.i wish my mom would call me.i text my mother and told her i love you.and the message went thru.i hope she got it.

Lillian, I am sure that your mother knows that your niece loves her, although im not sure if she literally heard it during that particular call. If the text went through, it is quite possible that your mother received it :)

If I were you, I would try calling that number a few more times, you never know, one time she just might answer.... Either way, she knows you love her if she knew it in life. Additionally, if she is able to call, she probably has been watching over the family and sees how much you miss her. From what i understand, oftentimes these "spirits" do not have enough strength to carry on long conversations and therefore disconnect after a short message, which would explain the lack of response to the "I love you." I sincerely hope that you receive a sign that your mother had heard you and receive the peace you need in this difficult time :) I've heard stories of people getting daily calls from a passed loved one for many years, and maybe you will have such fortune to receive daily updates from your obviously beloved mother <3
How old are you by the way? I'm curious as you say that you text messaged her.. I would love any updates because your story brings tears to my eyes while dealing with the passing of many loved ones! Please post here any details, and if you'd like to chat I'll post my auxillary e-mail address :)

Also, I have some mediumistic abilities, and you never know if I could receive some small piece of information from your mother... if I had a picture I'd love to try, and I would be sure to try and get information that no one else knows so you can be sure that it is indeed her... but idk. I think I just had this happen to me the other night. It was from an unknown number, and the call sounded so distorted and not anything or from someone I had heard before. The only thing I could make out was, "Hi babe, im here" and then it would sound staticy and then I also heard a distorted womans voice. I honestly dont know what happened it was the strangest eeriest feeling and I honestly cant explain whom or what it could have been.
I wish i would have stayed on the phone longer, but I only listened for a minute. :-(

Several days after my mom passed away my phone would ring 2-3 times at the same time every morning. No one was on the other end and this was the same time of day my mom used to call me to visit. These calls continued for about a week.

I have been getting weird calls from a lengthy number. It seems to be a man, I say a couple hellos, and I can hear something but can't make it out then call is disconnected. The one day whoever called about 630am, (saw the number) when I answered I didn't say hello, and after about 45 secs, he said hello. That kinda snapped me outta my sleep. Then I said hello and like usual, call disconnected. I told a friend about it and gave him the number to call the operator for me (no operator with cell phone), and he was to come over the next day to call display because I think he thought I was nuts. And that night all numbers were somehow deleted from my phone. Absolutely clear and I know I didn't touch it. I was mad, and I did spill a few tears because now I couldn't prove this ridiculous number was really calling me (its been about a month or so). Probably just bad telemarketer, but just weird.

a friend received a call from his parents house early morning...he answered and the line was dead..he called to see if his dad had called..no, he had not..this is strange because on his cell phone he has the number listed as Mother..she died 3 years ago and it freaked him out when he saw the number and mother printed on his cellphone display. could it have been his mother?

I have never experienced such a thing but I believe it happened. I know a lot of other different stories when the souls of people who passed away remained in the house for quite a long time. I like the film What Dreams May Come very much. If you haven't watched it do!
